Bio:

Trevor Crook is an indie‑folk singer‑songwriter based in Minnedosa, Manitoba. His songwriting is rooted in the experience of getting older — learning, changing, and coming to terms with what growth really looks like. Trevor’s storytelling is shaped by his small‑town upbringing, even after spending ten years living in Toronto. That contrast between where he’s from and where he’s been has become a defining part of his perspective and sound.

With the arrival of his daughter this year, Trevor’s music has taken on a new layer of meaning. He writes with the hope of making her proud, and with the belief that even when you’re scared, it’s worth trying something new. This album is both a message to her and a reminder to himself to keep moving forward and keep creating.

Working with producer Mae McKillop has helped shape Trevor’s vision into reality. The album features an accomplished lineup of musicians, including Julian Bradford (Ariel Posen), Cody Iwasiuk (William Prince), Nathan Crook — long‑time collaborator and guitar inspiration from Toronto — and Caitlin Baker, an exceptional fiddle player with advanced training who performs with artists such as Mitchell Makoons. Together, they bring the project to life.

After years of playing drums in Johnson Crook, Trevor has stepped into a leading role as a songwriter, performing his own music across Manitoba. His debut album is set for release in early 2027, with two singles — About Those Days and Holy — arriving before Christmas 2026.
